Our Services

Wholesale and export only

Alpine Paeonies NZ supplies the trade exclusively — we do not sell retail or direct to the public. Email is our preferred method of contact for all enquiries, quotes and orders, so we can keep an accurate written record of variety, volume and timing for every account.

Plan Your Season

Seasonal availability

Use this to plan your order: early varieties open the block in mid-October, volume peaks in mid-November as mid-season blooms take over, and late varieties carry us through to early December. The chart below shows exactly where each variety falls.

Beyond the Natural Season

Our Dry-Store Process

Our natural bloom season finishes in early December — but that isn't where availability ends. Every variety we grow can be dry-stored until mid-February at premium quality: firm stems, intact petals, stable colour. It's how we keep supplying weddings and events well into summer, months after the last stem is cut.

1

Optimal harvest timing

Stems are hand-harvested at the precise bud stage best suited to long-term storage.

2

Rapid cooling

Stems are cooled quickly after harvest to stabilise moisture levels and lock in structural integrity.

3

Controlled dry-store entry

Buds are moved into purpose-built, controlled-temperature dry-store rooms suited to extended holding.

4

Precision climate control

Humidity, airflow and temperature are precisely regulated and monitored throughout storage.

5

Extended dormancy

Flowers remain dormant in storage without losing firmness, petal integrity or colour.

6

Rehydration & conditioning

Ahead of dispatch, stems are rehydrated and conditioned back to full, fresh condition.

7

Lasting premium quality

The result is dry-stored paeonies that meet the same premium standard as fresh-season stems, however many months after harvest.
